When it comes to this topic, oh, what I wouldn’t do to go back and correct my mistakes of the past! The primary tool for conflict management is to listen to what the other person is saying, regardless of what your stance is. The more you can fight visceral emotion and maintain composure, the more in control and polished you will appear.
Here are some rules to remember when it comes to managing conflict:
1. Don’t show weak emotion
2. Don’t gossip
3. Don’t whine
4. Go to the source
5. Master the art of never complaining
6. Accept uncertainty
7. Use action words without apology
