1. Be a good listener. You might think networking is all about what you say, but listening is actually an essential skill to bring to your next event. The person with whom you’re speaking will tell if you’re not paying close attention to what they’re saying. Ask thoughtful questions in response to what you hear is one way to show you’re listening.
