College prepares students for their adult lives in many ways, but it comes up short on questions of style. After all, most campuses have become casual environments where dressing for class can mean rolling out of bed and brushing your teeth. (We hope.) College students are notorious for blurring the lines between pajamas and clothing, favoring floors over closets for clothing storage, and for borrowing outfits from friends and boyfriends — whether they fit or not.

Then, one day, they put on a graduation gown and enter the job market where wardrobe norms can be a bit less lenient.
